OLD LYME ZONING COMMISSION
REGULAR MEETING
Wednesday– September 16, 2015, 7:30 P.M.

1.  Convene Meeting; announcement of voting members.

PUBLIC HEARING:

1.  Petition to Amend the Zoning Regulations to add in Section 3 of the Old Lyme Zoning Regulations the definition of “school” which is as follows:  School – Any structure, the use of which meets State licensing requirements for accredited primary, secondary or college instruction and education.  Such school may be public or private and is a permitted structure and use in all zoning districts.”  

REGULAR MEETING:

1.  Petition to Amend the Zoning Regulations to add in Section 3 of the Old Lyme Zoning Regulations the definition of “school” which is as follows:  School – Any structure, the use of which meets State licensing requirements for accredited primary, secondary or college instruction and education.  Such school may be public or private and is a permitted structure and use in all zoning districts.”  

2.  New Business    – Informal discussion with Mr. William Randazzo and Mr. Frank Noe with respect to the Sound View Village District (SVVD) regulations, more specifically 1) Section5.13.4.3b. 1,2,3,4 5 regarding Multi-Family Housing; 2) Maximum height of building or structure 27 feet; 3) zoning change to raise height from 27’ to 35’ due to FEMA regulations; 4) with the possibility of sewers, increase of the density of homes from the exiting one for the first 7,500 s.f.; 5) keep the existing zero side yard setbacks as the property is at present and 6) all parking would be accessed through service road.

5.  Correspondence – Letter dated August 10, 2015 from Clinton S. Brown of DiCesare Bentley with respect to 1 Huntley Road, Special Permit/Coastal Site Plan requesting another 18 month extension to commence construction on the project.
